Laura Gabriela García Montiel
I am an Attorney-at-Law, graduated at the Escuela Libre de Derecho de Puebla and hold a Master of Administrative and Tax Law, at the Facultad de Derecho de la Barra Nacional de Abogados (School of Law of the National Bar Association), with over 20 years’ experience. Prior to completing my law studies (1997), I already was holding a public office at the then Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, until holding the position, in the year 1999, of Under Administrator in the Local Income Legal Administration (SAT) of Veracruz, which position I performed with absolute commitment until the year 2001; consequently, my professional education and passion for tax law and external trade.
Further, for six years I acted as Assistant Manager for Litigation in the Liquidation of Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México (Mexican railway company) obtaining favorable decisions against important amounts of tax deficiencies. I can proudly say that my public service has been performed with a high sense of commitment to my homeland.
For over ten years, I have channeled my profession to the defense of the fiscal rights and legal best interests of my clients, with passion, dedication, study, discipline and efficiency, to date being a proud partner of Hernández Ortiz y García Montiel, S.C. where we comprise an interdisciplinary team for providing services with optimum results on behalf of our clients.
